The Gospel According to

The Gospel According to Supernatural is an interactive pathway into deeper appreciation of the Gospel via the adventures of three characters: the hard-partying unbeliever, Dean Winchester; his big-hearted, brilliant but often conflicted brother Sam, and Castiel, an angel in a trench coat. What this trio lacks in sound theology they make up for in their dedication to fighting the good fight against the forces of Hell.

The Gospel According to Supernatural opens up the deeper Gospel message in episode after episode and invites readers to reflect on that message and record their own experiences, feelings, and prayers in response.

This volume explores the first five seasons of Supernatural. Please join the survey on the Contact page to help Susan decide which episodes or seasons you would like to work with next.

Why I wrote this book…

A TV show, of all things, had touched my soul.

I watched and rewatched dozens of episodes. So many of them moved me to explore the things that matter most in life—things like love and loyalty, good and evil, family and friendship, and how even we mere mortals can find our way to a life that abounds in genuine love. This book is the result.

I didn’t write this book to convert anybody. I am not a proselytizer. I am not a missionary. And God knows I am no saint. Ask my husband.

I wrote this book in the hope that it would spark conversations. Most of the entries include at least one question to help get people talking, either virtually through the internet or in person at a Supernatural convention.
